NYC {Sep 18}

Had a trip to Long Island for work and I had never been to NYC.  So even after a 12 hour day of travel to LaGuardia and work…I still managed to hit the LIRR into Penn Station.  The first day, we visited the Empire State Building.  With my back fusion surgery Friday of this week…I didn’t do too well walking that far.  After a few minutes on the 86th floor, I needed Tylenol and a stiff drink to make it back to the train station.  Luckily on the way out, we passed through a Walgreens and grabbed some Tylenol.  A Margarita and sit down dinner were next on the agenda.  Pain subsided somewhat, but a few minutes into the walk back to Penn Station, pain resumed.  Did get some amazing shots from the 86th floor of the Empire State Building.  So for now, I can push through the pain.  In a few days, I will have to listen to strict doctors orders.  Next day was work, then took the 7 pm LIRR train back into the city.  This day though, definitely limited my walking.  Headed over the a site seeing nighttime bus tour.  It was nice because I got to sit, which most of the time is less painful than walking and still got some great photos.  Let me tell you though taking photos at night from a moving bus was very challenging and I had to push my ISO to 10000 at times and still had to increase exposure in post processing.  Train was delayed and a 1 hour train ride took almost 2 hours and we didn’t make it back to the hotel until 230 in the morning!  Thank goodness our flight home on Friday was in the afternoon, so we got to sleep in a bit.  Here are some photos from my trip.  Hope you enjoy!
