Indoor Skydiving

Since the kids are on spring break, we decided to take most of them indoor skydiving. We want to do the real thing too, but figured this was a natural stage of progression.

We headed to iFLY in Atlanta. IFLY Atlanta is located at

2778 Cobb Pkwy SE
Atlanta, GA 30080

You have to arrive 15 minutes prior to your fly time, so we arrived at 11:45 and got to watch some folks fly before we got suited up.

Your instructor will get you a flight suit and then you will begin your training. Training is simply a video and learning hand signals, as you will not be able to talk in the wind tunnel. Be sure to pay special attention to the hand signals!! After training, you get a helmet to wear during your flight.

Be sure to upgrade to High Fly on your flight! Don’t forget to purchase videos and photos as well!! If you are a woman, I recommend a low pony tail or low bun. You can only have a low hairstyle due to the fit of the helmet. With 150+ mph winds, your hair quickly becomes a tangled mess!

You get two one minute flights. The first flight, you stay low and just get the feel of flying. Then the second flight is the same unless you upgrade to the High Flight, which I recommend. If you upgrade to the High Flight, you and your instructor float up to the top of the wind tunnel.

After flying, we headed to The Battery for lunch. There are all kinds of places to shop and eat right outside or Truist Park. It’s a very cute area. There is also an escape room there!

Until our next adventure

XOXO
