Anne is hosting this weeks challenge. Here is her post for Wildlife Close to Home.
These were all taken in my backyard of my old home on the lake. We downsized in July of this year.

My backyard was a photographers paradise! Throughout the years, we had bears, peacocks, deer, snakes, alligators, squirrels, birds, raccoons, turtles, and more! I miss it for sure.
Hope you enjoy my Wildlife Close to Home!

Sarah, this is a great response to the challenge. What cute critters you had visiting you at your former home. I hope your new home brings welcome critters too.
Thank you so much! I hope the new house brings nice critters too!
GREAT selections. LOVE the raccoon and squirrel shots. Snake! Good capture.
Thank you!
Loved that image of the raccoon hitting the feeder – they are brazen little devils aren’t they?! Looks like paradise indeed Sarah!
Yes they are! We loved our little lake life paradise
I love your photos. The deer is exquisite. We recently moved (downsized) and we don’t have the lake or trees we used to have. Rumor has it that there are deer and bear in the neighborhood, but I haven’t seen any yet. We’ve been able to bring in some birds and insects with plants and feeders.
Thank you so much! Yes weβve seen rabbits and birds at the new houseβ¦hoping for more too! Our neighborhood just finished construction, so I feel we will start seeing more wildlife here too!
Wonderful shots, all of them. I love your racoon getting to the feeder, that is absolutely priceless.
Thank you! That face!
What an oasis for the critters in your last home. I am sure your new home is just as inviting. Sweet raccoons.
Yea it was always something to photograph!
Hi, Sarah. I love the raccoon caught in the act! A great capture and a fun post.
Oh, how I love the look of that racoon! And the snake – what a great capture (even if I don’t like snakes…)
Thank you so much!!
