Lens Artists Photo Challenge #227 Home Sweet Home

Tina challenges us to posting photos representing Home Sweet Home. Here is her full post.

If I had someone come to visit me in Georgia, I would take them to some of my favorite beautiful and unique sites around Georgia.

Old Car City is located in White Georgia. It contains the worlds largest known classic car junkyard. Visitors enjoy the beautiful vegetation of the deep south that is intertwined with the hundreds of cars that reside in Old Car City. Old Car City started as a small general store in 1931 and is still family owned and operated. It has over 34 acres with over 4000 American-made cars from the early 20th Century.

Another few of my favorites are in the Dahlonega area. I would visit Monteluce Winery and ensure we have some wine and a cheeseboard. Then hit up Amicalola Falls State Park on the way home.

Brasstown Bald Visitors Center sits atop Georgia’s highest mountain at 4,784 feet above sea level. it’s cloud-level observation deck offers stunning 360-degree views of the Southern Appalachian Mountains and valleys. On a clear day, one can see four states. The views from Brasstown Bald are phenomenal even when there’s a rain storm coming!

Another quirky place that I would take someone is to the abandoned plane in Cartersville. I am always up for anything abandoned.

There are so many truly quirky, unbelievable and beautiful places in the state I currently call Home Sweet Home, Georgia.

I can’t believe I have chosen these places, as there are so many more I’d like to share!

XOXO

…and I am going to read with with the sounds of a southern accent. I loved it. The falls stunning, the winery inviting and the cars curious and a fun addition to the challenge. Very nice. Donna
